As a Lifeguard, your role is essential in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests in and around the pool areas. You'll monitor swimming activities, uphold safety protocols, and deliver exceptional service while creating unforgettable holiday experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Constantly supervise swimming pools and water-based activities to ensure guest safety (essential).
- Act swiftly in emergencies, providing first aid or assistance and remaining composed under pressure.
- Conduct regular checks of pool equipment and water quality to verify safe, operational conditions.
- Enforce all water safety rules and regulations, ensuring compliance among guests.
- Deliver friendly and professional service, addressing guest inquiries and assisting with their needs.
- Support routine pool maintenance duties, maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Requirements
- Strong swimming skills and excellent physical fitness to perform rescues while maintaining alertness.
- Thorough knowledge of water safety rules and regulations.
- Outstanding communication skills to interact professionally with guests in a welcoming manner.
- A commitment to exceptional guest service while prioritising their safety.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak season shifts.
- Must pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Children’s Barred List clearance.

- Required Certifications:
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognised organisation (e.g., NPLQ).
