Keep guests smiling and safe
As a Lifeguard in our Subtropical Swimming Paradise, you’ll help create a safe and welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll uphold the highest health and safety standards while delivering exceptional guest service.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor pool areas to ensure guest safety, responding to emergencies
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
- Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills
Requirements
To be a Lifeguard at Sherwood Forest, you must:
- Be a strong swimmer and pass a detailed swim test during the interview, including:
- Diving into deep water
- Timed swimming on front and back
- Exiting the pool without assistance
- Hold an RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification with:
- 20 hours of continued professional development
- Swim 50 metres within 55 seconds
- Communicate effectively, stay calm under pressure
- Be friendly, warm, and genuine towards guests and colleagues

Your working hours
- Full-time and part-time roles available
- Shifts run 6:00am – 10:00pm, including:
- Early mornings, evenings
- Weekends and bank holidays
- Guaranteed minimum hours over a 4-week period (additional hours may be required)
