About the Role
‘Getting Stuck In’ is one of our key values, and we’re looking for new Team Members who love doing just that!
Unlike a single department, you’ll work across different teams on resort to support guests and deliver an unforgettable experience during their stay with Butlin’s.
Our lifeguards play a crucial role in ensuring guests have a fun and safe experience in our pools and flumes at Splash Waterworld. Safety is our top priority, requiring:
- Excellent attention to detail
- A warm and engaging approach to customer service
- Leadership in poolside activities
About You
While the routine is non-substantive, you’ll thrive with:

- A passion for working with like-minded teams and guests

As a Team Member Plus, you’ll work in a flexible schedule:
- Mon & Fri: Cleaning accommodation
- Rest of contracted hours: Performing lifeguard duties
No two days will be similar—you’ll enjoy versatility across teams and guest interaction.
No prior lifeguard qualification? That’s okay. We’ll fund and deliver your NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) course, ensuring you’re fully trained for this incredible role.
Prerequisite: You must pass a Butlin’s swim test upon selection. The requirements include:
- Swimming 50m in under 75 seconds
- Treading water
- Performing a surface dive
- Crawling out of the pool unaided
