About the Role
Lifeguard (Team Member Plus) | Splash Waterworld
‘Getting Stuck In’ is one of our core values, and we’re looking for Team Members across resort teams—ready to engage with guests and sculpt unforgettable holidays. This role as a lifeguard at Splash Waterworld gives you the chance to deliver fun, safe, and unforgettable aquatic experiences.
Your Responsibilities
- Prioritise safety while keeping guests—and the team—fun and relaxed. Hospitality is on the agenda, but vigilance is paramount.
- Lead and support poolside activities to maximise enjoyment and excitement for guests.
- Work across the week, including Friday afternoons cleaning accommodation before stepping into your supervisory role.
- Stay energised and engaging while minimising risks, from poolside supervision to tandem flume teamwork.

Key Skills & Attitude ✔ Enthusiasm & Resilience – A pivotal lifeguard needs hunger for new challenges and a positive attitude in safety and fun modes. ✔ Attention to Detail – Pools are dynamic, guests need guidance—cautious precision saves lives while maximising joy. ✔ Team Collaboration – Open communication and support are non-negotiable: you’ll partner with fellow lifeguards, catering staff, and managers. ✔ No Fear of Roles Shifting – Indeed, you’ll thrive on it. Between poolside supervision and residential clean-up, no day is mundane.

Eager to share? No problem. Previous lifeguarding experience is a bonus, but you’ll complete your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) if selected.
Key Logistics
📑 A Butlin’s swim test is mandatory if shortlisted:
- Swim 50m in under 75 seconds
- Treading water competently
- Surface dive
