Location: Cowdray Farm Shop, Café and Lifestyle – Easebourne, West Sussex
Reports to: Lifestyle Manager
Contract type: Part time role of 3–4 days per week (to be discussed at interview), with weekend working required within the agreed working pattern
Salary: From £12.71 per hour

Situated alongside the award-winning Cowdray Farm Shop & Café, Cowdray Lifestyle offers a carefully curated selection of homeware, gifts, fashion and Cowdray branded products.
Rooted in Cowdray Estate’s ethos of quality, sustainability, and local provenance, our Lifestyle team seeks to bring the charm and heritage of the Cowdray brand to every visitor.
The Position
We are looking for friendly, energetic, and dependable Lifestyle Shop Assistant to join our Cowdray Lifestyle team.
In This Role, You Will
- Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service in our Lifestyle shop areas
- Support visual merchandising and maintain beautiful, well-presented displays
- Help customers navigate and explore our Cowdray brand products, gifts, and homeware
- Work with the Lifestyle Manager to execute seasonal ranges, gift wrap, and in-store promotions
- Assist with restocking, unpacking deliveries, and keeping on top of inventory
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Farm Shop & Café for cross-shop customer experiences

Full training will be provided to help you build strong product knowledge including local artisan items, Cowdray-branded goods, and key lifestyle ranges.
The Candidate
To Succeed In This Role, You Should
- Have a genuine interest in homeware, gifting, fashion and lifestyle products
- Bring a high level of customer service; friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with visitors
- Be reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a close-knit team
- Experience in retail is a plus, though not essential – what matters most is enthusiasm and a passion for the Cowdray brand
- Be capable of handling physical tasks: lifting stock, organising displays, and restocking
- Be available to work a flexible pattern of 3–4 days per week, including weekend working as part of your agreed schedule
