Activities Coordinator (Lifestyles Coordinator) – Alex Wood House Care Home
As an Activities Coordinator at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of meaningful, enjoyable, engaging, and stimulating activities planned for our residents—helping us create memorable moments and enrich their lives.

About the Role (Lifestyles Coordinator)
The Activities Coordinator (Lifestyles Coordinator internally) plays a vital role in:
- Proactively engages with and supports our activities programme
- Ensures all team members and residents are informed and involved
- Creates an inclusive, person-centred environment tailored to each individual’s needs

Position Details
- Salary: £12.71 per hour
- Hours: 20 hours per week (rota-based, Monday to Sunday)
- Location: Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality, meaningful activities programme based on person-centred care, ensuring all residents are actively involved.
- Champion person-centred care across the team, empowering residents to make independent lifestyle choices.
- Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities, tailored to their abilities, dignity, and communication needs.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in organising programmes, events, or activities, ideally within healthcare/dementia care.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing residents’ quality of life.
- Knowledge of dementia care is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support teams.
