Engineer Apprentice – Lift & Escalator Development Programme

Location: Otis Vantage London, 10th Floor, Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9AG, UK

The Role

As an Engineer Apprentice, you’ll gain a NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent apprenticeship.Standard) over three years, combining hands-on field experience with classroom-based learning. Supported by Otis and our trusted apprenticeship provider, you’ll grow into a qualified Service Lift Engineer.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work in a supportive team, gaining practical skills in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic lift systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults on modern lift and escalator technology
  • Complete routine maintenance visits, ensuring smooth operations for customers
  • Learn from industry experts while developing professional competencies
  • Contribute to safety and quality standards aligned with the company’s Three Absolutes (Safety, Ethics, Quality)
  • Progress post-qualification into roles managing service routes and technical teams

Requirements

Essential

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, including:
    • Maths
    • English
    • One STEM subject (Science, Design & Technology, ICT, etc.)
  • Personal tools: You will need to provide your own laptop for training and work
