Lift Service Engineer
Chaney Lifts Ltd is an established and successful family business with an outstanding reputation. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lift Service Engineer who would like to join a professional team maintaining and repairing lifts in London and the Home Counties.
Are you an energetic self-starter with excellent customer service skills and eager to join a growing team which prides itself on personal service? We would love to hear from you.
Person specification and skills required:
- Qualified or working towards a minimum of NVQ level 3 and EOR/202 or equivalent in lift engineering
- Full driving licence
- You must be an experienced Lift Engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of different brands of equipment
- Ability and desire to learn new skills
- Effective communicator
- Computer / smart phone experience as we use a remote application for logging jobs and completing worksheets
- Working in predominantly in London and home counties
- Whilst you must be a team player it is essential that you can also work on your own initiative

As a qualified service lift engineer, you will be expected to:
- Carry out lift maintenance and lift service visits of the units within your territory
- Respond proactively and timely to lift breakdowns aiming to always achieve first time fix
- Carry out minor lift repairs to achieve continual lift operation
- Liaise directly with the customer whilst on site and build a good working relationship
- Have in-depth knowledge of a variety of different makes and types of equipment
- Demonstrate that you can apply lift engineering principles to maintenance and fault diagnosis
