Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Hire group, are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lifting Inspection Engineer to join our growing team.
Our highly skilled and qualified Inspection Engineers provide a reliable, responsive and first-class service across the UK, ensuring lifting equipment is safe to use and customers remain fully compliant with their legal obligations.

What you'll be doing
As a Lifting Inspection Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering inspection, testing and compliance services across a variety of customer sites and operational environments.
This is a varied and hands-on role which includes:
- Carrying out lifting equipment inspections
- Load testing and pull testing activities
- Occasional destructive testing
- Inspection of lifting accessories and associated equipment
- Supporting operations within the rigging loft
- Producing accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards and company procedures
- Delivering excellent customer service and technical support to clients

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within the engineering and lifting inspection industry.
Essential / desirable requirements include:
- Experience working within the lifting equipment industry
- LEEA qualifications or working knowledge of LEEA standards
- Engineering, Mechanical NVQ or City & Guilds qualification desirable but not essential
- Experience working within a testing or inspection environment
- Good problem-solving ability with a practical approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to share knowledge effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Commitment to supporting the business ESG strategy Decade to Deliver
