Omega Red offers survey, design, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair solutions for earthing, lightning protection, surge protection and height safety. The business is passionate about protecting people, property, electrical equipment and systems, from the damaging effects of lightning strikes, electrical faults and surges.
The Role
As a Lightning Protection Fitter with Omega Red Group, you will be responsible for travelling to customer sites to install lightning protection systems safely, efficiently, and to the highest of standards.
You will ensure all installations meet client expectations and comply with current industry standards, including BS EN 62305 (Protection Against Lightning). The role also involves completing accurate documentation in line with company procedures and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge.
This position requires flexibility, including regular travel and occasional stays away from home, and offers opportunities for training and development for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Install lightning protection systems at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure all work is completed to client satisfaction and in line with company standards
- Maintain compliance with current codes of practice, including BS EN 62305
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Represent the company professionally when working on client sites
- Adhere to health & safety requirements at all times
- Travel to various locations, including working away from home when required
What You’ll Need
- Experience as a Lightning Protection Fitter or Engineer (preferred)
- A full UK driving licence
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
- NVQ Level 2 in Lightning Protection Installation (desirable)
- MEWP and/or PASMA qualifications (desirable)
- A flexible approach to work, with a willingness to travel and stay away from home
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality
