The Role
We are looking for a thorough and detailed individual to join our Quality team in this hands-on role. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that the inspection capabilities of all manufacturing technicians and inspectors meet the required standards for a no-fault forward methodology. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the calibration system within the manufacturing and assembly areas.
You will ideally be an experienced component inspector from a low volume precision engineering background. Experienced in batch machining with the diligence to audit the inspection work carried out by both manufacturing technicians and inspectors. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that all technicians are capable of inspecting work correctly, using the right equipment.
The role holder has the autonomy to adjust and refine the audit plan as needed, making changes to the scheduled plan in response to findings or operational priorities.
Problems encountered are generally routine in nature, with solutions often drawn from personal experience or the knowledge of colleagues.
The variety of issues that may arise requires logical thinking and a methodical approach to reach effective resolutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
