Draughts

Draughts is a trailblazer in experiential hospitality, redefining board games for a modern audience. Our mission is to entertain our customers with amazing food and drink whilst providing a healthy balance between the analogue and digital world. We do this by creating welcoming spaces that encourage people to be present and connect with each other, playing any of the 1000 unique board games on our shelves.

Our venues are uniquely designed to provide the perfect intimate atmosphere to enjoy our great service, food and drinks and games experience.

Purpose

As a Line Chef at Draughts, you bring precision, pride, and energy to every service. You take ownership of your section, preparing food to spec, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and supporting your Kitchen Manager in running an efficient, well-organised kitchen. You understand that great food starts with consistency and care, and you play a vital role in making sure every guest leaves happy.

What You Will Do

  • You will prepare, cook, and serve each dish to the same high standard, following Draughts specifications and maintaining attention to detail even during the busiest shifts.
  • You will keep your section organised, stocked, and spotless, helping to create a kitchen that runs smoothly and safely.
  • You will take responsibility for due diligence, completing temperature logs, food safety checks, and daily records accurately and on time.
  • You’ll follow all allergen and hygiene procedures, report issues promptly, and help the team stay compliant at all times.
  • You’ll work closely with your Kitchen Manager and the wider team, supporting training for new chefs, helping with stock deliveries and rotation, and keeping waste low through smart preparation and organisation.
  • You’ll communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and always be ready to lend a hand wherever needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
