Line Leader - Hiring Now | £1,500 signing on Bonus | Days only or Nights only | Chichester

Are you an experienced Line Leader? Would you like to earn a £1,500 signing on bonus? We’re looking for a confident and proactive Line Leader to join our fast-paced Production team at Natures Way Foods.

This is a hands-on Supervisory role with responsibility for leading your team to deliver safe, high-quality products while meeting daily performance targets. You’ll coach colleagues, monitor KPIs, drive improvements and ensure food safety and compliance standards are met at all times.

Shift pattern

Days only:

  • Fixed days 7am – 7pm.
  • You will work 7 days within a 14-day period. Typically:
    • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
    • Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday

Nights only:

  • Fixed nights: 7pm – 7am.
  • You will work 4 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

As a Line Leader, you will:

  • Lead, guide and coordinate Production Operatives and agency colleagues on your line
  • Ensure all Health & Safety standards are followed, reporting accidents and near misses immediately
  • Complete start-up checks and manage non-conformances, escalating major issues appropriately
  • Ensure food safety, GMP and customer standards are met at all times
  • Take ownership of line KPIs including yield, waste, giveaway and downtime
  • Monitor Short Interval Control (SIC) hourly and implement corrective actions when required
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of food safety and compliance paperwork
  • Coach and train colleagues to achieve right-first-time quality standards
  • Manage line resources effectively including labour, materials and equipment
  • Deliver clear and detailed handovers between shifts
  • Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within FMCG or food manufacturing
  • Supervisory experience or strong demonstrable leading capability
  • Proven machine operation experience
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and production targets
  • Good organisational and timekeeping skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Confidence to coach, motivate and manage performance
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Ideal candidate:

  • Already working as a Line Leader, Senior Operative or aspiring Supervisor
  • Comfortable managing performance and escalating issues
  • Data-driven and KPI aware
  • Strong on food safety and compliance
  • Calm under pressure
