Job Description
As a Line Leader you will be responsible for managing the total operation of the line (defined as total production line) on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. A particular emphasis of the role is to facilitate a team culture across all functional and cross functional disciplines for the specific line.
The Line Leader will:
- Serve as a customer liaison and ensure customer quality requirements are met
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for increased productivity and quality
- Drive to key performance goals for production lines
- Work with various departments on short term and long term projects

The Line Leader should have:
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, energize, and engage hourly and salary team members
- A desire to be on the production floor
- Strong desire and drive to learn new systems and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Significant understanding of Flow Manufacturing concepts that use Continuous Improvement and Kaizen events.
- Proficient with MS Office, including experience using Excel for data analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
- At least 5 years of experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing production environment
- Previous experience in the glass container industry is preferred
- Availability to support 24/7 operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis
- Experience with production planning and scheduling software is a plus
