Summary
Lead Your Team to Deliver Quality, Safety and Performance Every Day
The Role
Our new Line Leader will play a key role in delivering production, quality, and operational targets within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Working closely with Shift Leaders, Technical teams, and wider site functions, you will lead your production area to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for an experienced team leader or aspiring production leader who enjoys developing people, driving performance, and creating a positive culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
This is a night shift Sunday to Thursday 2200-0600
Your Key Responsibilities
The Line Leader will be responsible for leading daily operations and supporting the success of their production area, including:
- Leading and coordinating the day-to-day performance of a designated production line or area.
- Ensuring production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements.
- Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Promoting a strong food safety, quality, and health & safety culture across the team.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues to achieve high standards and develop their skills.
- Ensuring all production, quality, and food safety checks are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance operational performance.
- Conducting regular team briefings and communicating site objectives effectively.
- Supporting investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions where required.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practice standards throughout the production area.
- Working collaboratively with Technical, Engineering, Planning, Hygiene, and Learning & Development teams to achieve business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be a motivated and organised people leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys supporting others to succeed.
You Will Be
- Experienced in a Line Leader, Team Leader, Production Leader, or Supervisory role within manufacturing or food production.
- Process experience with frozen coated products.
- Knowledgeable in food safety, quality, hygiene, and health & safety requirements.
- A confident communicator who can engage and motivate colleagues at all levels.
- Skilled at organising workloads and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable monitoring performance and responding proactively to operational challenges.
- Experienced in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Able to analyse information, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- Focused on delivering high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about working as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Experience
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
- HACCP knowledge or certification.
- Experience of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience working with major retailers and short shelf-life food products.
