Summary
Lead Production, Drive Quality, and Build a High-Performing Team
The Role
We're looking for a self-motivated individual to join an established team in this key production leadership role. You'll oversee and drive production while balancing safety, quality, cost, operations, and people priorities. The role also covers staffing, performance management, and continuous improvement, helping to build an efficient, high-performing team.
Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 6.30am to 6.30pm.
Pay rate: £14.49 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Be a team player with a high level of factory awareness
- Show a keen eye for detail
- Bring a good understanding of the factory environment (advantageous)
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong background in food manufacturing, ideally meat, with a solid understanding of FMCG production
- A questioning mindset, always looking to improve processes and efficiency
- Proven leadership, coaching, and management experience, with a track record in people and performance management
- Experience supporting training and development within teams
- Skilled at managing diverse teams
- GCSE/O-level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Computer literate
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Understanding of HACCP Level 2 standards
- Awareness of hygiene, health and safety standards
- Strong organisational skills with a pragmatic approach
