Fulfilment Team Leader

Career Step Level: Step level 3

Location(s): Blyth, Worksop

Type: On-site, shift-based, full-time permanent contract

Hours:

  • Rolling average of 41 hours per week
  • Shift rotation of days and some weekends
  • Days: 7am to 7pm

About the Role

We are excited to offer a Fulfilment Team Leader position at our Butternut Box site in Blyth.

As a Team Leader, your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our fulfilment processes. You will oversee customer order fulfilment to guarantee on-time, high-quality delivery whilst upholding our service standards—all within a supportive team environment.

Reporting to the Fulfilment Manager, you will collaborate within a fast-paced 120,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. This opportunity comes with extensive growth opportunities as Butternut Box expands across Europe.

You will:

  • Lead team performance, improve efficiency, and drive continuous operational excellence.
  • Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Technical, Engineering and third-party partners.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of Butternut through hands-on leadership and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders, ensuring all service and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Engaging and motivating teams in achieving operational KPIs, including packing accuracy, quality standards, and packing efficiency.
  • Driving delusive performance, fostering a supportive culture and celebrating team achievements while driving operational improvements.
  • Problem-solving and implementing continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and contribute to cost savings.
  • Planning and directing daily activities to meet customer demand and operational targets.
  • Ensuring collaboration and safety across Engineering, Technical, Production, and Warehousing teams.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a Team Leader or Managerial role within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, preferably in the FMCG sector or related industry.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or production leadership roles is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills—rooted in clarity but grounded in collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Leadership mindset: You inspire, mentor, and develop your team while maintaining a support-centred approach for everyday challenges.
  • Commitment to performance improvement, including process optimisation and systems analysis.
  • Motivation and mission alignment: Candidates need to recognise the wildlife-focused impact of their work and be integral to its success.
