**Line Operator – Nestlé Confectionery Factory (York)**

**Business Unit:** Nestlé UK&I

**Contract Type:** Fixed Term (6 months)
**Location:** York Factory
**Shift Pattern:** 12-hour shifts, averaging **36 hours weekly**
(Monday to Friday [Friday daytime only]; nights covered)
Additional hours may be available via optional **overtime**
**Salary:** £35,572 per annum

## **About the Role & Team**
We are recruiting **Line Operators** for our **Nestlé Confectionery factory** in York. Operating under the **Nestlé Flexible Worker** scheme, successful candidates will support the production team across various roles. Performance-dependent progression to a permanent role may be possible within the **world’s largest food and beverage business**—the makers of **KitKat, Aero, Yorkie, and Polo Mints**.

### **Key Responsibilities**
You’ll work within a manufacturing team to:
- Produce confectionery products of the highest **quality and safety standards**
- Monitor product assessments
- Operate packing machines while maintaining stringent **safety and food hygiene protocols**

Your Daily Impact

Your primary focus includes:

  • Operating machineries systems to achieve performance targets.
  • Ensuring smooth line workflow by reducing downtime from breakdowns and repairs.
  • Maintaining safety/quality standards in accordance with company protocols.
  • Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrating accountability, even when acting independently without immediate supervision.
  • Leading by example with positive attitudes and clear standards.
  • Delivering consistent, engaged collaboration to motivate colleagues.
  • Supporting initiatives to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements & Success Factors

Key Qualities:

  • A practical, adaptable attitude with a "can-do" mindset.
  • Devotion to teamwork and active problem-solving.
  • Thoroughness in following processes and guidelines in safety, quality, cost, and delivery compliance.

Experience:

While prior industry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Training will be provided on the job.
