Housekeeping Team Role – Linen Porter & Public Area Cleaner


Rate of Pay

£13.07 per hour| 26 hours per week (16 hours: Linen Porter, weekends | 9 hours: Public Area Cleaner, weekdays)

About the Role

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations across two key areas:

  • Linen Porter (16 hours/week) Move and organise linen efficiently, supporting Room Attendants in maintaining guest rooms.

    • Some guest interaction required.
    • Requires working independently at times.
    • Must speak conversational English.
  • Public Area Cleaner (9 hours/week, 3 weekdays) Maintain high standards in guest-facing spaces across the hotel.

Flexibility is offered for weekday shifts, agreeing schedules where possible to manage work-life balance. However, weekend hours are fixed (all linen porter duties occur at weekends).


Key Responsibilities

  • Lift, move, disassemble, and replenish linen across all levels of the hotel during set hours.
  • Uphold strict hygiene standards for both linen and guest areas.
  • Report any linen/utility issues or replaced linens promptly to your team member or reporting manager.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks for public areas like lobby, F&B spaces, and meeting rooms based on cleaning standards.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of housekeeping operations.
  • Maintain an image of professionalism and malish abroad.
