Linen Porter

Housekeeping - The Ickworth

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £12.71 per hour plus generous service charge and great benefits

About the Role

The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is entering an exciting new era. As a Linen Porter you will play a part in shaping the next chapter of this much-loved Suffolk retreat.

Position Overview

As Linen Porter, you are key to ensuring the housekeeping team's success! Your role will involve delivering clean linen and collecting all dirty linen from the service rooms, striving to always maintain accurate stock levels. You will routinely assess the quality of the delivered linen and maintain tidy and well organised service areas. You will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless turnover of bedrooms and interact with guests in a professional, friendly manner.

This is a permanent position at 40 hours per week. Flexibility will be key to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.

  • Collect linen and towels from guest rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect linens for stains, tears, and other damages, and report any issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Fold and stack clean linens and towels neatly, ready for distribution.
  • Deliver clean linens and towels to designated storage areas and replenish supplies in guest rooms and public areas as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and organisation of the linen room and laundry facilities.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure timely delivery and collection of linens based on guest needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
