We are now seeking an experienced Lining Engineer to oversee day‑to‑day site activities, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role involves supervising operatives and subcontractors, coordinating resources and maintaining strong compliance, workmanship and operational performance on site.
About the role Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Lining Engineer to join the team and to grown and progress their career in the utilities sector working for a growing company.
Location: Leyland Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm. Salary: Up to £16.50 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities – but not limited to: Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts Setting up traffic management Confined spaces entry Risk assessments and updating work packs The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend

Experience and qualifications desirable required for the role: To be flexible in their working approach To be able to cover long distances by foot The desire to progress within the company Previous experience within Lining would be highly advantageous Knowledge of utilities and traffic management (not essential) Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.
