Linux & Network Systems Administrator
System Administrator | South Cambridge | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
An established technology company on the outskirts of South Cambridge is seeking a System Administrator to join its growing infrastructure team.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contributing key expertise to maintain and develop critical systems.
The Role
As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing, maintaining, and managing server racks, internal networks, power, and cabling.
- Installing and configuring customer equipment.
- Keeping infrastructure documentation and physical asset inventories up to date using Git.
- Troubleshooting Linux systems, networking, and test automation environments.
- Deploying and maintaining core infrastructure, including switches, PDUs (Power Distribution Units), and UPS systems.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Linux systems administration.
- Solid knowledge of networking, including VLANs, routing, link aggregation, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience managing pfSense.
- Understanding of best practices for rack installation, including cabling, power distribution, and equipment placement.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
