About The Role
A growing company based in Cambridge are looking for a highly skilled Linux Platform Engineer to join their dynamic team! Please see details on the role and company below:
- Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) for NXP-based platforms.
- Build, customize, and maintain Linux kernels, including module development and integration.
- Debug and troubleshoot networking-related system issues using profiling tools.
- Optimize Linux system performance, memory management, and I/O operations.
- Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues using profiling and tracing tools.

Salary: Paying up to £80k
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (Hybrid, typically 3 days on site)
Sponsorship: Not available for this role, can only accept candidates with full rights to work.
Job Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Bash, and Python
- Deep understanding of Linux networking stack, Yocto and Poxy is advantageous (TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, Netfilter, iptables, nftables)
- BSP development (board support packages)
- Knowledge of networking protocols
- Experience with performance tuning and packet tracing
- Debugging
- Experience with 3GPP, 4G, 5G protocols.
- Over 5 years of experience within Platform Engineering/similar role

Interview Process
The first stage will be a 30-minute teams call with Software Team Lead, then the 2nd stage will be onsite technical interview with tech team & culture discussion with HR.
