ROLE TITLE: Lipton Ice Tea Communications Brand Manager Europe LOCATION: London WORK LEVEL: 2A ABOUT PEPSI LIPTON Pepsi Lipton is a global joint venture organization created between PepsiCo and Unilever in 1994 - a ~$3.8 billion System Revenue business with a strong track record for growth and a portfolio of the 3 biggest iced tea brands in the world, Lipton, Pure Leaf, and Brisk. It’s the market leader within North America and Europe and has a presence in over 50 markets across the globe. Ready-to-drink Tea (RTDT) is a significant growth opportunity globally, accounting for 1% of the LRB market and yet offering distinctive, on-trend refreshment beverage experiences. Building on the power of tea and its inherent goodness, Pepsi Lipton’s mission is to Replenish People & Nature via an ambitious net zero goal and tasty products that are better-for-you vs. other popular Liquid Refreshment Beverages (LRB) such as Carbonated Soft Drinks. The joint venture is an autonomous entity and has its own board of directors (50% Unilever and 50% PepsiCo) and a dedicated global leadership team. The JV offers an exciting blend of Unilever and PepsiCo employees who have been seconded from our Parent Companies for stints that average 2 to 3 years. We have 5 regional groups operating across North America; Europe; Latin America; AMESA (Africa, Middle East, and South Asia); and APAC (North Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia/ New Zealand) where we are continuously pioneering new ground. Whilst we have the backing and support of our two parent companies, our autonomous set up, tight focus and pioneering mindset gives us agility and speed. MAIN PURPOSE The role requires a consumer-centric marketer who has a passion for developing unmissable and industry-leading creative that moves the culture. The role is focused on strengthening Lipton’s brand equity through purposeful positioning, growing penetration through compelling brand and product storytelling and generating consumer demand by growing Lipton’s cultural capital. You will have opportunity to work on high-impact, disruptive marketing campaigns that enable Lipton to achieve short and long-term strategic business objectives within Europe and beyond. ACCOUNTABILITIES Deliver High-Impact ‘Flavour of the Year’ Campaigns: Develop an annual, social first, audience first campaign that launches a new flavour and celebrates Lipton’s flavour range. Build engaging storytelling that flows across touchpoints, creating consistent, talkable, immersive brand experiences. Lead European localisation of the Lipton brand campaign: Partner with Global, DigiHub and media teams to adapt and amplify the platform for Europe, ensuring cultural relevance, resonance and strong talkability across markets. Amplify Lipton’s Social & Digital Brand Agenda: Embed Lipton in culture by leading Social Hubs and collaborating with DigiHub and agency partners. Ensure the brand shows up in the moments that matter, driving relevance, participation and conversation. Champion a sharp, insight driven media strategy for Europe by helping shape market media laydowns, steering competitive tracking, and injecting innovative, culturally relevant media ideas into every campaign. Build Emotional Connections with Core Audiences: Develop strategies that move beyond transactional interactions, instead building deep, lasting emotional connections with consumers through authentic, shareable experiences. Create Engaging Shopper Toolkits: Develop visually compelling shopper toolkits, including retail media assets and shopper activations, that bring new campaigns to life across conversion channels. Drive excitement at key consumer touchpoints to encourage trial and repeat purchase. Partner Closely with the Insights Team: Work hand-in-hand with the Insights team to leverage data and audience insights, refining activation strategies and ensuring all campaigns resonate deeply with target audiences and cultural trends. Monitor, Measure, and Amplify Success: Identify and track KPIs rigorously to understand the activation’s impact, iterating on and amplifying successful elements to maximize reach and resonance, mirroring the long-term value seen in Coca-Cola’s blockbuster-style partnerships. Engage Markets and Oversee Deployment. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Proven experience in brand communications/social/PR marketing. Pop Culture & Social Media curiosity and thorough understanding. You’ve got your finger on the pulse at all times! Experience in building digital & social-first (IG/TikTok/YouTube) campaign strategies and content driving impact on brand equity, earned media, and sales. Strong consumer-first approach. You demonstrate clear consumer insight, analytical skills, and breakthrough thinking; you’re able to turn insights to ideas and growth opportunities. Clear demonstration of delivering business results. A strategic and business thinker, you have an understanding of the 3 C’s (Consumer, Customer, Competition), trends, practices, information and insights impacting the business, enabling sound decisions to be made. You’ve got the ability to break through the status quo, resolve uncertainty and pivot quickly. Skilful at navigating a complex, matrix dual-company organisation to drive clarity, alignment and accountability. Strong influencing skills. Ability to engage and motivate both markets and stakeholders behind a project and vision. A go-getter and a self-starter. You’re hungry to drive impact, grow brands, and leave a strong legacy behind. Regional Comms and/ or Media experience is an advantage. You will also need to demonstrate a wide range of capabilities and attributes: Exceptional project leadership management with experience leading agile teams in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
