About the Team
The Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO) team ensures global liquidity and integrates funding and investment activities to protect and optimise the organisation's capital and risk profile.
Responsibilities
As a Liquidity and Treasury Controller Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure the funding and liquidity risk management of the organisation worldwide
- Safeguard the overall integrity and accuracy of financial statements, liquidity reporting, regulatory returns, and adherence to regulatory and financial/accounting standards
- Interface with Line of Businesses (LOBs) and other corporate groups to relay Treasury requirements surrounding liquidity and funding risk for new initiatives
Key Duties:
- Prepare liquidity reporting for TCIO EMEA (daily, monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting such as 6G, US LCR, NSFR, FRY-15, etc.)
- Manage the control and reconciliation of collateral, money markets, and other funding management positions impacting liquidity reporting
- Monitor and troubleshoot breaks arising from daily reconciliations of Risk Management Systems vs Sub-Ledger vs General Ledger
- Execute month-end ledger close for P&L and Balance Sheet, resolving breaks when necessary
- Conduct analytical reviews and prepare commentaries for key business drivers affecting P&L, Balance Sheet, and variations in collateral and funding movements. Present results in review meetings with senior management
- Oversee all aspects of quarter-end regulatory submissions, including FAS 107, FAS 157, FAS 161, Deposit reporting, and Derivatives notional reporting
- Partner with TCIO regional controller teams (NA/APAC) — providing transparency on funding changes, new initiatives, and guiding relevant period-over-period variances
- Execute Transfer Pricing Analytics and ensure the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) process is adhered to
- Contribute to projects and strategic initiatives impacting ledger and liquidity reporting including NBIA’s, system migrations, and LRI monthly release agendas. Tasks may involve impact analysis, requirements specification, UAT/Regression testing
- Automate and refine existing processes to achieve global consistency and drive efficiencies
- Collaborate with front office, middle office, technology, Finance and other personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and controlled completion of responsibilities

Requirements
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification in business, economics, finance, or accounting
- Demonstrated financial services experience with knowledge of:
- Investment securities
- Money markets
- Repo/reverse repo mechanisms
- FX markets
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to interpret intricate financial models
- Highly numerate with a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organisation skills
