Lithium Workshop Technician – Permanent Full-Time Role

Job Details

Location: Wellingborough (with training/induction in Luton) Working Pattern: Full Time (47.5 hrs/week) Hours: Mon–Fri, 06:00–16:00 Salary: £14.40 per hour

  • Administration & Logistics:

    • Assist in booking battery collections and managing waste offtake.
    • Oversee workflows related to Lithium battery storage, disassembly, shredding, and residue storage.
  • Field & Recycling Operations:

    • Support customer visits for battery collections or safety assessments pre-collection.
    • Disassemble and recycle lithium batteries while recovering high-value materials (nickel, cobalt, and lithium).
  • Operational Support:

    • Assist the Lithium Workshop Manager in managing operational tasks and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Experience & Training:

  • High Voltage training to WAMITAB standard (or equivalent).
  • MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) Licence strongly desired.
  • A valid UK driving licence is required (vehicular access likely for site work).
