About the Role

You will play a crucial role in reinforcing our motivated Operations Team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Fostering team culture:

    • Create a positive team environment through collaboration and open communication.
    • Build trust and maintain a culture of clear expectations from the outset.
  • Quality & process oversight:

    • Reading the print instructions ("read sheet") and ensuring:
      • Correctness against the verified copy provided.
      • Proper layout alignment, grip, and grain checks—signed off before proceeding.
    • Conform to MM’s Health & Safety Policy, reporting any risks to managers.

  • Operational leadership:

    • Operate print machines to produce high-quality cartons for customer and healthcare industries.
    • Set up the next job for the press:
      • Ensure correct positioning of plates, work tickets, and inks.
      • Verify that inks are applied on top of the machine and board is ready in the holding area.
    • Help meet efficiency targets set by the Print Department, including:
      • Improving quality, basic machine maintenance, and safety checks.
      • Performance checks and ensuring all processes align with standard operating procedures.
  • Equipment & housekeeping:

    • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensuring machinery is well-kept.
    • Cover breaks, talkdown/pause runs, sick leave, and holidays to maintain print department targets.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience & qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Specific technical training in lithographic printing.
    • 3–5 years of experience in Flexo printing (or similar equipment).
