Key Details

  • Position: Legal Expert — Litigation
  • Type: Contract
  • Compensation: $100–$150/hour
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 15+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Design legally realistic scenarios from your litigation practice, including:
    • Motions
    • Discovery
    • Depositions
    • Briefs
    • Case strategy
  • Write "golden" reference responses at attorney-level quality to enhance model training.
  • Grade AI-generated responses using structured rubrics to ensure alignment with legal standards.
  • Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior and reasoning.
  • Participate in:
    • Onboarding office hours
    • Specialty calibration sessions (to maintain quality and consistency)

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 1–4 years of professional experience in civil litigation at:
    • A law firm
    • A government agency
    • A legal department
  • Hold a J.D. (U.S.) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Appellate or trial experience.
  • Familiarity with case management software.
