Litigation / Civil Fraud Partner

The Role

William James Recruitment is instructed on a confidential lateral Partner search for a fast-growing, premium litigation boutique that competes directly with Magic Circle, Silver Circle and US firms on complex, high-value disputes.

The firm is led by highly regarded City litigators and has built a reputation for handling sophisticated:

  • Commercial litigation
  • Civil fraud
  • Financial services disputes

It has recently strengthened its partnership through lateral hires from leading US practices, reinforcing its position as a serious alternative platform for top-tier disputes lawyers seeking greater autonomy and flexibility.

The firm is deliberately open to a range of disputes specialisms and welcomes Partners with established practices across:

  • Commercial litigation
  • Civil fraud
  • White collar crime
  • Related contentious areas

The Candidate

  • Established Litigation Partner at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle or US firm (or equivalent platform)
  • Portable client book of business of at least £500k, focused on disputes
  • Strong track record in:
    • Commercial litigation
    • Civil fraud
    • White collar crime
    • Related contentious practice areas
  • Open to developing niche or specialist disputes practices within a broader premium offering
  • Proven ability to:
    • Originate
    • Lead
    • Deliver complex, high-value matters
  • Strong client relationships with demonstrable business development capability
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and collaborative in approach
