Litigation Executive – Property Litigation Specialisation

About the Role
Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to partner with a growing and well-established legal practice to recruit a Litigation Executive with Property Litigation experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious legal professional to join a reputable firm with a strong presence in the property sector.
You'll work on a varied caseload of contentious property matters, advising clients on complex disputes and helping to deliver successful outcomes. The successful candidate will join a supportive team, gain exposure to high-quality work, and benefit from genuine opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves managing the following duties:
- Managing a caseload of Property Litigation matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising clients on residential and commercial property disputes
- Handling landlord and tenant disputes
- Managing possession proceedings and eviction matters
- Assisting with boundary disputes, rights of way, easements, and restrictive covenant matters
- Drafting legal correspondence, witness statements, court documents, and settlement agreements
- Conducting settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
- Liaising with clients, courts, barristers, and third parties
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Delivering exceptional client service throughout the litigation process
- Supporting the growth and success of the litigation department

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Core Requirements
- Previous experience as a Litigation Executive, Litigation Fee Earner, Legal Executive, Property Litigation Paralegal, or similar legal professional
- Proven Property Litigation experience
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant disputes
- Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and adherence to professional standards
- A proactive attitude and desire to develop your career

Desirable Experience
- CILEx qualification or working towards it
- Residential and commercial property dispute experience
- Mediation and dispute resolution experience
- Advocacy experience
- Business development and networking experience
