Our Credit Hire department is one of the highest-performing teams at HF and sits at the heart of our insurance offering. Led by three expert Partners, the team has grown to around 50 Credit Hire Specialists across our Manchester and London offices.

The department handles over 66,000 instructions a year from 80+ clients and has an exceptional market reputation. You’ll be joining a supportive, close-knit group who collaborate, share knowledge, and celebrate success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage your own caseload of litigated delegated authority small and/or fast-track credit hire claims (dependant on experience)
  • Gain exposure to high-value and technically complex credit hire litigation, including cases exceeding £50K
  • Work on appeals, fraud matters and strategic litigation
  • Engage directly with insurer clients and help shape litigation strategy
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team committed to delivering excellent results

What do I need?

  • Ideally 12 months’ experience handling credit hire files or experience within the insurance sector
  • OR a law degree with a strong interest in Credit Hire Litigation
  • A positive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a close-knit team
