About the Role
William James Recruitment is conducting a confidential search to recruit an Associate to join a fast-growing, premium litigation boutique that directly competes with Magic Circle, Silver Circle, and US firms on complex, high-value disputes.
The firm is led by respected City litigators and has established a strong reputation for handling:
- Sophisticated commercial litigation
- Large-scale civil fraud
- Banking and financial markets disputes
The partnership comprises highly regarded practitioners who previously held senior positions at leading firms. The team has expanded through strategic hires from top-tier UK and US practices.
The practice operates globally, representing clients in cutting-edge and high-profile matters before English courts and international jurisdictions. Work encompasses:
- Commercial litigation & arbitration
- Civil fraud & asset tracing
- Banking & financial services disputes
- Insolvency
- Reputation & information protection
- Sanctions & white-collar crime

The Candidate
We seek an ambitious lawyer (1–3 years’ PQE) from a leading City, national, or international firm (or equivalent) with:
- A strong academic and commercial litigation background.
- Experience assisting on complex, high-value disputes.
- Commercially astute with exceptional analytical and drafting skills.
- Confident working in lean teams with direct Partner exposure.
- Proactive and eager to take early responsibility.
- Collaborative yet personable in approach.
