We are a well-established and progressive law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. Our litigation department continues to grow, and we are now seeking a motivated junior solicitor to join our Wickford office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or someone in the early stages of their career to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Description
The Role
You will work closely with and directly support Jennifer Hardy, Head of Litigation and Partner, gaining hands-on experience across a varied and high-quality caseload.
This role is ideally suited to someone keen to accelerate their development, with direct exposure to complex matters and close partner-level supervision.

- Assisting on a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters
- Managing your own caseload (with appropriate supervision)
- Supporting on more complex and higher-value disputes
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
- Attending client meetings, conferences, and hearings
- Building strong client relationships and maintaining high service standards
Key Requirements
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic solicitor who is committed to developing their litigation career.
You Will Ideally Have
- NQ to 2 years’ PQE in litigation (or strong litigation seat during training)
- A solid grounding in civil procedure and dispute resolution
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- The ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
