Are you looking to kickstart your career in litigation and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment? Join Strata Solicitors, Gallagher Bassett’s in-house law firm, as a Litigation Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the management of litigated Defendant motor claims for our self-insured corporate and insurer clients.
Based in Tamworth, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in legal research, claims handling, and administrative support, while working alongside a talented and collaborative litigation team.

How You'll Make An Impact
In this role, you’ll assist the Claims Co-Ordinator and litigation team with a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth handling of Defendant motor claims.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up new claims and closing claims, ensuring all data and MI fields are completed accurately.
- Investigating the merits of third-party claims and conducting legal research.
- Communicating via telephone and correspondence with third parties, insurers, and solicitors.
- Completing spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records.
- Applying the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant Authorities to support case management.
- Ensuring full compliance with office protocols, client service level agreements, and key performance indicators.
- Achieving 100% data integrity compliance on the office case management system.
- Supporting the litigation team to maintain compliance and achieve client expectations.
- Delegating and supervising appropriate tasks to Claims Administration Assistants.
- Ensuring compliance with financial transactions, client service level agreements, and Solicitors Accounts Rules.
About You
Essential:
- Demonstrable self-motivation and initiative.
- The ability to work independently within a defined structure and collaborate effectively with peers and managers.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable:
- A Law degree.
- Experience in Defence claims handling within an insurer or TPA environment.
- Knowledge of Credit Hire and/or Personal Injury claims.
