Location: UK Wide (Remote / Home Based) Salary: £10 – £13 per hour (£19,500 – £25,350 per annum equivalent, based on a 37.5-hour week) Job Type: Part-Time (Full-Time options also available) Reporting To: Customer Support Team Lead (Client Side)
About the Opportunity
Vita CV is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a UK-based consumer business managing a high volume of live chat enquiries from customers across the country. This is a fully remote position suited to candidates who can type quickly, multitask effectively, and maintain a friendly and professional written tone throughout each conversation.
About the Role
The Live Chat Support Agent will handle inbound customer chat enquiries, resolving issues, providing information, and logging interactions accurately within the support system.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound customer chats promptly and professionally
- Resolve account, order, product, and general enquiries with clear follow-up
- Manage multiple concurrent chat conversations without compromising quality
- Log interactions, notes, and outcomes accurately within the support system
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior team members
- Identify recurring customer issues and report patterns to the team lead
- Maintain consistent service standards across every interaction

What We're Looking For
- Strong written communication skills in English with excellent spelling and grammar
- Good typing speed and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple chats simultaneously without losing quality
- Customer-focused approach with patience and clarity in written tone
- Comfortable using chat support platforms and CRMs
- Reliable and self-motivated in a fully remote working environment
- A stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Previous experience with Intercom, Zendesk Chat, Tidio, or similar tools
- Prior exposure to e-commerce or subscription-based customer support
