£35k-£45k DOE + 1 bed flat and bills
Job Title:
Experienced, professional and proactive Live in Building Manager vacancy available at a large residential development located in the Wandsworth area. The package includes a one-bedroom accommodation and will include all utilities and council tax costs plus there is a remuneration for any out of hours calls as given it’s a live-in role there is a natural expectancy for the building manager to be on call in the event of any utter emergencies outside normal working hours.

Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the job is to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of the buildings’ communal areas, infrastructure and grounds. The Building Manager is the primary point of contact for leaseholders, residents, contractors and the managing agent, working with them to ensure the property is maintained to a high standard and is in compliance with legal and safety regulations. In addition, this role is vital in fostering a positive and pleasant living environment.

Role Requirements:
- It is a hands-on, site-based role, requiring a blend of office-based administration, walking the site for inspections and carrying out occasional DIY tasks.
- Candidates must have experience in residential block management or facilities management with a good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, Fire Safety regulations, building maintenance and Landlord and Tenant best practice.
- Must be proficient with MS Office and property BMS systems as well as good DIY skills.
- Must be an excellent communicator with excellent customer service skills, self-motivated, have initiative and a strong sense of responsibility for the welfare and upkeep of the development to its existing fine standards.
