Company DescriptionAt Home Instead, when it comes to care, we believe "it's personal". Our live-in Care Assistants provide the ultimate gift of time and companionship. Unlike traditional domiciliary care, you will reside in the client's home for a set period (usually a two-week on, two-week off rota), providing 24-hour peace of mind and one-on-one support. We don't just provide care, we build relationships. You will be matched with a client based on shared interests, hobbies and personality, ensuring that you aren't "just a carer", but a trusted companion in their home. Job DescriptionKey responsibilities of a live-in Care Assistant: Companionship: Being a friendly face and supportive presence, sharing meals and engaging in the client's favourite hobbies and interests. Personalised care: Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and grooming, always maintaining the client's dignity. Household management: Helping with light housework, laundry and grocery shopping. Nutritional support: Preparing fresh, healthy meals and ensuring the client is eating and drinking well. Health and safety: Managing medication reminders and supporting mobility to prevent falls. Independence advocacy: Helping clients remain active in their community, whether that's welcoming visitors to the home or visiting friends. Resilience: The ability to live away from your own home for set periods while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.QualificationsExperience in care is preferred for applicants for a live-in role. Successful applicants will be required to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body.
