Live-in Care Assistant - Altogether Care, Hampshire Area

As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will live in the care recipient’s home, providing personalized care and support while offering comfort and reassurance to both the individual and their loved ones. Your dedication will ensure high-quality, compassionate care at all times.

About The Role
Responsibilities
Your key tasks will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes
- Assisting with personal care tasks, such as:
- Medication management
- Washing/bathing
- Oral hygiene
- Dressing
- Supporting clients with daily tasks, including meal preparation and basic housekeeping
- Encouraging social engagement and meaningful activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence
- Building positive relationships with clients’ families, loved ones, and other involved professionals

Requirements
Essential
- At least 2 years of care experience (Prior text corrected to reflect updated requirement in later section)
- Ability to work 8-week duty blocks
- Attendance at induction and refresher training at Altogether Care’s training centres
- Commitment to:
- Empowering individuals to make their own choices
- Providing dignified assistance with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, medication)
- Offering physical and emotional support
- Enabling participation in daily life tasks and activities
- Assisting with healthcare appointments
- Fostering positive relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Competency in using mobile technology to record and deliver care effectively
- Alignment with Altogether Care’s core values: Respect, Trust, Positivity, Safety, and Compassion
- Strict adherence to safe working practices and company policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to diverse needs
- Flexibility and adaptability in living with someone in their own home
