Full-Time Kitchen & Dining Team Leader – [Name of Hotel/Premise]
About the Role
We are seeking driven and passionate individuals to lead and execute kitchen operations at our hotel, ensuring exceptional food quality, hygiene compliance, and exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities include meal preparation, menu planning, stock management, team supervision, and adherence to company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and present meals to the company’s set standards
- Ensure freshness and availability of all food items during service hours
Dining Service
- Serve guests with food and drink orders in the dining area
- Replenish supplies as required while maintaining quality standards

Service & Cleaning
- Clean the serving areas, including tables, chairs, buffets, and general dining space
- Empty waste and maintain a tidy, presentable dining environment
Inventory & Waste Control
- Assist with stock management and portion control
- Implement strategies to minimise waste and suggest improvements
Health, Hygiene & Safety
- Strictly adhere to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised, and well-maintained
- Inspect all equipment for safe operation
- Report faults to the manager and avoid using damaged equipment
Team & Operational Compliance
- Attend weekly team debriefings and meetings
- Follow delegated tasks from the On-site Executive (OE) or Site Manager

Required Competencies
- Exceptional cooking skills with a commitment to quality
- Attention to detail in food prep, presentation, and hygiene
- Leadership ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively
- Strong organisational skills for optimising operations and inventory
- Clear communication to liaise with team members, managers, and guests
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
- Innovative thinking to refine processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
