We're Hiring - Live Venue Security Manager
Be part of the management team behind some of the UK's leading live events.
Location: Grays, Essex (Office Based with Nationwide Travel Required)
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Manchett Security is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Live Venue Security Manager to join our expanding management team based at our offices in Grays, Essex.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Security Manager who is passionate about delivering safe, well-managed live events whilst building long-lasting relationships with clients across the UK. From concerts, festivals and sporting events through to racecourses, outdoor events, and live entertainment venues, you'll play a key role in planning, managing, and delivering security operations to the Highest Possible Standards.
This is not a typical office-based role. Whilst the role is based in our Grays, Essex office, you will be expected to travel nationwide to attend client meetings, planning meetings, venue visits, and live deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational planning and delivery of live venue and event security operations throughout the UK.
- Attend client meetings, planning meetings, site visits, and operational briefings.
- Produce staffing plans, deployment schedules, risk assessments, and operational documentation.
- Lead, motivate, and manage Security Officers, Supervisors, Response Teams, and Event Management Teams.
- Ensure all operations are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with client expectations.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, venue management, promoters, and stakeholders.
- Manage incidents professionally whilst maintaining clear communication with all parties.
- Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of frontline staff.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to continue developing and growing the Live Events Division.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, licensing requirements, and industry best practice.

Essential Requirements:
Applicants must have:
- A valid Full UK Driving Licence.
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- A valid Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management.
- FREC 3 Qualification.
- Proven experience managing security operations within live venues and events.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel throughout the UK.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable:
- Experience managing large-scale live events and festivals.
- Knowledge of the Purple Guide and current event safety legislation.
- Experience producing operational plans and deployment documentation.
- Experience working alongside the emergency services, local authorities and Safety Advisory Groups (SAGs).
