Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our team. The role is based in the beautiful Deeside area.
About the Role
You will provide a community service to children 0-18 years in the areas surrounding Banchory and Deeside, based from Banchory Health Centre. You will be working with children and young people and their families in clinic and home settings and will support a range of communication needs including those with complex needs. You will work alongside a Band 4 Health Care support worker.
About the Service
In recent years the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service has successfully developed universal and targeted strands of work alongside its individualised specialist services, which enable rapid response to referrals and ensure caseload flow. The SLT service has also seen a significant increase in its use of digital platforms and technologies across the service.
The Aberdeenshire SLT team is a large and dynamic team covering all of Aberdeenshire. We meet regularly with local mini team and regional full team meetings. We value staff members and focus on their wellbeing. Continuing professional and personal development is well supported and staff members are actively encouraged to contribute to the development of the service as a whole.

Requirements
Due to the rural nature of this post a car driver and access to a car is essential and the role does require travel around the area. You must be HCPC registered.
