About the Role
A full-time, branch-based opportunity.
- Duties: 35 hours a week (including Saturdays).
- Location: Belfast – working across our Halifax branches within a reasonable distance.
- Flexibility: Adapts to flexible working arrangements.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Starting in a branch, providing face-to-face customer support. • Handling everyday banking tasks while specialising in moment-based support, including:
- Assisting customers through sensitive moments (e.g., bereavement, fraud, vulnerability).
- Building confidence in digital banking and independent use of online/mobile services.
• Recognising opportunities to connect customers with appropriate products/services.
• Developing skills without prior banking knowledge. Key soft skills required:
- Staying calm under pressure.
- Demonstrating adaptability.
- Showing empathy in high-stakes interactions.
• Potential progress into roles within the group, including phone, online, or digital channels (e.g., web chat, video, social media support).
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 12 months’ customer service experience.
Key qualities:
- People person: Genuine passion for helping customers with personalised confidence, integrity, and care.
- Can quickly build relationships to deliver exceptional service.
- Proven commitment to resolving queries thoroughly and going above and beyond.
- Collaborates closely with colleagues to support customers’ needs.
