Location: Shotton, Flintshire, CH5 2NH – based on customer’s site
Hours per Week: Full-time, 40 hours, Monday to Friday (09:30 to 18:30 hrs)
Salary: £27,000–£28,000, depending on experience
Your Role
You will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, consisting of Customer Service Representatives and Operational staff, based on our customer’s site at Shotton.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of visiting LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) road hauliers.
- Meet and greet incoming LGV haulier drivers.
- Conduct site inductions and safety briefings.
- Monitor and enforce Customer Load Safe and Load Restraint standards.
- Supervise and control haulier drivers while on site, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections of trailers before loading/unloading.
- Assist LGV drivers in preparing trailers for loading.
- Confirm correct loading configuration and inspect restraint equipment before loads leave site.
- Complete reports regarding non-conformance.
Your Profile
- CCNSG Safety Passport qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of H&S (Health & Safety) requirements and best practices in the road haulage industry, including awareness of HSE (Health and Safety Executive) legislative regulations.
- Knowledge of LGV driver procedures and types of trailers.
- Must hold a full clean driving licence.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible approach to the role and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic IT proficiency.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
