Backed by a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturer, our UK operation is expanding rapidly within the construction equipment sector. As demand for our wheel loader product range continues to grow, we are investing in our service capability to deliver outstanding technical support to customers across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Loader Service Engineer to join our growing aftersales team.
Your Mission
You will play a key role in supporting our customers by delivering high-quality technical service across our diesel and electric wheel loader product range. This means:
- Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on XCMG wheel loaders at customer sites and other locations
- Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new machines before handover
- Performing machine modifications, technical upgrades, and retrofit campaigns in accordance with factory requirements
- Providing technical support for both diesel and electric wheel loaders
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults efficiently
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate service records
- Working closely with the Parts, Technical Support, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer service
- Maintaining a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance whilst working on customer sites
- Representing XCMG professionally and building strong relationships with customers

You will work independently across your assigned region while receiving full support from our UK technical team and global factory specialists.
Who You Are
You are an experienced field service engineer with a passion for construction equipment and solving technical problems. You bring:
- Proven experience servicing construction equipment, heavy plant, agricultural machinery, or similar mobile equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Experience carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Experience completing machine PDI and commissioning
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK when required

Essential Requirement
- High Voltage Authorisation Certificate (required for working on electric wheel loaders)
The Following Would Be Advantageous
- Experience working on wheel loaders
- Experience with electric construction machinery
- OEM dealer or manufacturer service experience
- Knowledge of CAN Bus diagnostic systems
- Manufacturer diagnostic software experience
