Job Introduction

Logistics Security Officer — Olympia

Be part of one of London's most ambitious regeneration projects.

Olympia is undergoing a £1.3 billion transformation — turning this iconic London landmark into a destination for the remarkable and the extraordinary. Think British Airways ARC (a 3,800-capacity live music venue with AEG Presents), the British Airways Theatre (London's largest purpose-built theatre in almost 50 years), hotels with citizenM and Hyatt Regency, 30 restaurants and bars, a boutique gym with 1Rebel, and a brand-new co-educational senior school — all alongside Olympia's existing heritage halls.

As a Logistics Security Officer, you'll keep the loading bay and logistics area safe and running smoothly — the vital, less-seen work that keeps the whole estate moving.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am, days and nights)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

This role is about more than just security — it's about making a difference in the local community. You'll ensure the safety and security of the logistics and loading bay area: monitoring vehicular access, verifying driver credentials, inspecting vehicles and cargo, and coordinating loading operations, all while providing a professional, welcoming presence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Access & Vehicle Screening: Controlling vehicular access; verifying credentials, manifests, and vehicle details via ANPR and access control systems; assisting with vehicle/cargo screening
  • Goods-In and Goods-Out Security: Overseeing secure movement of goods; verifying documentation against manifests; watching for tampering, theft, or suspicious packages
  • Surveillance & Monitoring: Maintaining situational awareness via direct observation and CCTV; reporting suspicious behaviour; checking ANPR, CCTV, and intercom systems are working
  • Coordination & Communication: Liaising with delivery personnel, contractors, and tenants; staying in constant contact with the Control Room; supporting high-value delivery security
  • Health, Safety & Emergency Response: Enforcing loading bay safety protocols; responding to accidents, spills, or fire alarms; assisting emergency services
  • Documentation: Logging vehicle entries, deliveries, and inspections; completing incident reports and handovers; supporting audits

What We're Looking For

  • SIA Door Supervision licence
  • SIA Guarding licence and SIA CCTV licence (ideal)
  • Experience supervising a small team
  • 5 years' checkable work and address history
  • At least 18 years old (SIA licensing requirement)
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, and weekends
  • A calm head under pressure and a genuine people person
  • Someone punctual, professional, and ready to learn

Experience across settings like loading bay, gatehouse, corporate, commercial, retail, or events is a bonus, as is a FREC 3 certification — but not essential. Previous security experience is important, but your enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter just as much. We'll provide all the training and support you need to thrive.
