Loading Bay Team Leader
We are currently recruiting for a Loading Bay Team Leader to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe - Llanidloes site.
As a Loading Bay Team Leader, you will provide support to the Loading Bay Supervisor to ensure the effective and timely movement of carcases and finished product e.g. boxed stock onto the assigned refrigerated transportation with due consideration to safety, product quality and legislative requirements.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Supervisor in their absence. Accept responsibility and be accountable for day-to-day activities.
- At the direction of the Loading Bay Supervisor undertake a range of routine tasks associated with the movement of carcases, cut product and offal. Duties include stringing, scanning of stars and compilation of dispatch documentation.
- Undertake the movement/loading of carcases and boxed stock in the correct manner to protect product safety, integrity, legality, authenticity and quality in accordance with the Food Safety Quality Management Systems (FSQM) & Health & Safety procedures and certification requirements.
- Liaise when required, with internal departments and external bodies such as the Foods Standards Agency (FSA), Official Veterinary (OV).
- To assist with the identification, segregation and disposal of non-conforming product to prevent its inadvertent release into the food chain.
- Proactively ensure the safe operation of equipment which falls under the remit of the loading bay area (including chillers) as stipulated within the relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- When required, deputises for the Loading Bay Supervisor.
