Loading Shovel Operator / Multi Skilled Operator - Anaerobic Digestion
Salary: £32,697.60 per annum
Working Pattern: Mon-Fri - W1 05:00-14:00 & W2 13:00-22:00
The Anaerobic Digestion Multi Skilled Operator / Loading Shovel Operator is responsible for the operation of the anaerobic digestion process and mobile plant, as well as the housekeeping and maintenance activities, in compliance with site licences/PPC permits, health and safety legislation, ABPR and planning conditions and Company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material handling operations using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with site environmental permit and municipal contract
- Work in accordance with SHEQ policies, including the reporting of close calls & incidents
- Involvement in best practice and continuous improvement, undertaking regular site audits/checks
- Close working relationship with BDR Management Team and staff
- Comply with changes to company standards and legislation
- Undertake light maintenance & cleaning of equipment
- Assist site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health & safety, behavioural safety observations, KPI’s and implementing necessary remedial actions in the event of variance
- Ensure the highest level of housekeeping is maintained
- To work in MBT & weighbridge areas of site where required

Essential criteria:
- Basic IT experience in Microsoft (SCADA would be desirable)
- Loading Shovel Experience
- Assisting delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
- Development and implementation of data capture and recording systems
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Good people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
