Opportunities Operational Security – Local Security Administrator

Location: London (TOP33)

You will provide a coordinated, planned approach to Operational Security within the project, delivering timely, pragmatic advice to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Fujitsu security policies and mandated external procedures. Maintaining ongoing communication with Security System Officers (SSOs) and the Security Assurance Manager (SAM) for all security-related matters.

The Local Security Administrator (LSA) plays a key role in supporting company-wide processes, standards, procedures, and work instructions. They contribute to reviews to ensure alignment and adoption of these standards, while ensuring planned, measured, and documented activities deliver the programme’s security requirements.

This role focuses on compliance with Fujitsu security policies, applicable customer publications, and operational security—including activities like implementing standards and policies across the project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Incident Handling:

    • Conduct daily monitoring of the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), escalating findings to the SSOs, SAM, and Ops Manager as needed.
    • Manage security incidents through ticketing systems, escalating when appropriate to the SSO and SAM.
  • Regulatory and Policy Compliance:

    • Ensure security alerts and incidents are recorded and resolved per Fujitsu policies, including escalation procedures.
    • Support PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), including certificate revocation and renewal processes.
  • Access and Credential Management:

    • Handle password, passphrase, and shared secret resets when required.
    • Maintain compliance with Security Operating Procedures (SyOPs) and LSI (Local Security Instructions) reviews.
    • Test and audit Work Instructions (WIs) prior to deployment to live services.

  • Physical Security Administration:

    • Administer smart card systems, including approval workflows.
    • Perform IMPEX (Import/Export) duties as needed.
  • Privileged Access Management:

    • Manage Elevation of Privileges (EoP) requests from engineering teams.
    • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the lifecycle of SY Obs (Standard Operating Procedures) with the Project SAM.
  • Emergency Response:

    • Support TSB (Time Sensitive Business) and Out-of-Hours (OOH) incidents, assisting with urgent SIEM alerts.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven security experience in a complex, high-security environment.
  • Technical monitoring and auditing experience, ideally with SIEM tooling or elevated access processes (e.g., privilege management).
  • Strong understanding of HM Government (HMG) security regulations and relevant guidelines.
  • Orange clearance or ability to obtain it (further security clearance required).
  • Deep knowledge of IT, operational, and personnel security procedures/policies and the applications of physical technical security measures.

Key Behaviours

  • Knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act) and Official Secrets Act requirements.
  • Confidence to work under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and liaise with stakeholders, including within large secure programmes.
  • Adequate presentational organisation, enabling clarity through security reviews and audits.
  • Flexibility to travel and operate in fast-paced environments.
