Local Service Manager - Mental Health Supported Living Services

Birchwood Gardens, Primrose Drive, Shrewsbury, SY3 7FE

£38,493.00 - £40,521.00 per annum

Contracted 37.5 hours per week

We are excited to be launching a new supported living service for individuals with mental health needs and are looking for a passionate and experienced manager to lead and shape this service from the outset.

About the role:

As the Local Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and development of the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, recovery, and wellbeing. You will lead a team of support staff, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Provide strong, values-led leadership to the service team

Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred support

Oversee support planning, risk management, and service user outcomes

Maintain compliance with relevant legislation

Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance

Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external partners

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is committed to delivering high-quality mental health support.

Essential:

Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a management role within health or social care

Excellent understanding of acute mental health conditions and recovery-focused approaches

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Ability to manage teams and drive service quality

Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory requirements

Desirable:

Qualification or background as a Mental Health Practitioner (e.g. RMN, Social Worker, OT)
