Chef - Alto, Locke Canary Wharf

A brand new opening. A fresh brigade. A kitchen to help shape from day one.

We are opening Alto at Locke Canary Wharf, and we are building our kitchen team from the ground up. Headed up by the brilliant Chris Dargavel, Alto is a brand new restaurant in one of London's most dynamic districts, and we are looking for talented chefs at every level to join the founding brigade.

This isn't a role where you slot into an established kitchen. As a new opening, you will be there from the very beginning, helping to shape the standards, the culture, and the food from the first service. If you take real pride in your craft and want to help build something from scratch, we want to hear from you.

White Rabbit Hospitality is built on a love of proper hospitality and seriously good food. Alto will be no different.

Our Values, In Every Service:

  • HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE - You know every dish that leaves your section shapes a guest's experience.
  • WE DO THE RIGHT THING - You never cut corners on hygiene, safety, or quality, whoever is watching.
  • WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE - You take pride in consistency, precision, and a section that runs flawlessly.
  • WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS - You watch waste, manage stock, and take ownership of your part of the kitchen.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
